Let’s face it summer is the hardest time to move. It’s so
hot and sticky outside that it doesn't even matter if you're looking for a moving company in Arlington VA or in California! All you really want to do is hang out at the beach. My
family and I are moving next month, so we’re in the process of finding a great
moving company that will help us move in this terrible heat. We Googled mover Cape Cod, MA and found a great moving company. It looks like we’re going to be in
good hands!

Final Moving Steps - Part 1
Over the next week, we will be rolling out some final moving tips in a three part series. Make sure you come back and stay tuned til the end!
-----------
-----------
Since you’re here we guess you’re in the final stages of your move. Congrats! Now time to get to the
stressful - final checklist. Here are some important tips for
making the last stages of your move go as smooth as possible. Use the list below as a checklist for getting things done before
the move!
Three Weeks
1. Collect or transfer records, i.e. doctors, dentists,
optometrists, veterinarians, lawyers, accountants, insurance carriers, banking
institutions, pharmacy, investment companies, financial advisors, grocery store
savings cards, safety deposit boxes, etc. - the list goes on and on!
2. Schedule a post move cleaning crew for your old home because the last thing you'll want to do after you move is clean
your old place.
Two Weeks
1. Get rid of anything and everything you don't need or want. Drop things
off at a local charity, give things away to family and friends, and return
items you have borrowed.
2. Confirm pack dates and move dates with your moving professional.
3. Arrange professional disconnection of ice makers, gas
dryers, antennae, cable etc.
4. If you have children or pets - arrange daycare for move day.
5. Ensure that packing materials are being delivered soon.
6. Start packing. It usually will take you 30 minutes a box.
One Week
1. Set aside cleaning supplies.
2. Minimize the number of perishables you buy for your
refrigerator & freezer. You don't want to worry about that stuff on moving
day.
3. Visit your local mover's website and read about liability
insurance so you can make an informed decision on move day.
More to come...
